BWO's and Midges on the Spring Creeks

Tuesday, March 21, 2017
The Paradise Valley spring creeks are starting to see some increased surface activity with both midges and BWO's hatching. The midges have been hatching in the AM and BWO's are starting to hatch on cloudy afternoons. Otherwise nymphing small midge or mayfly nymphs has been very productive. Keep an eye out for spawning rainbows and their redds.

Spring Creeks=Great Option!

Friday, March 10, 2017
The Paradise Valley spring creeks are a great option this time of the year with their constant warm water. Be mindful of the weather as warm days can equal high winds! There are a few midges hatching but nymphing small flies is the best option lately. Keep an eye out for rainbows as they are gearing up for their spawn and there are plenty of redds.

Spring Creek Spawners Moving In

Friday, March 3, 2017
With warmer air and water temps in the last week, fishing on the spring creeks has been very good but keep an eye out for the wind on those super warm days. Look for fish holding in slower runs and be aware of fishing preparing to spawn. Pink beadheads and zebra midges are your best bet with a few midge dry flies in the afternoons.
