Abel Super Series Reel

Abel Super Series Reels are simply outstanding large arbor reels with a drag system that can only be found in an Abel. An industry leader in quality and performance, 2010 marks the 11th year Abel has made Large Arbor Super Series.

All Super Series reels are ported (ventilated) using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal. They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.

Features:

• Reel frame, spool, drag knob and foot are 6061-T651 cold finished aerospace grad aluminum.
• Teflon sealed bearings are ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 Certified FAA TSO C149 Aircraft Bearings.
• Cork Drag System is made entirely in Abel's factory. Abel uses a superior high grade Portuguese cork with a little neat's-foot oil on it.
• Double Pawl System: Super Series reel sizes 6 and larger are built with Abel's recently upgraded double pawl system. Advantages include: increased reliability, back-up strength and unique sound.
• FlexABELity: Interchange both Large Arbor and Standard Arbor spools.
• Made in the USA.

*The 3N,4N, and 5N are Abel's new trout sized reels.  They are narrower in width to traditional Super Series reels.
