No fly box is complete without an assortment of pheasant tails.  Originally tied by Frank Sawyer, the pheasant tail is one of the most devastatingly effective nymphs.  It resembles a wide range of mayfly nymphs including pale morning duns, blue-winged olives, March browns and even callibaetis.  Sizes 12-18.
