Shop Review:  Having worn the older style of the jacket as well as this new one now, I can assure you that once you give it a try you won't leave home without it.  The soft shell technology makes for the perfect combination of warmth, wind resistance and water resistance without the bulk of other similar jackets.  I often wear it as a stand alone piece on cool windy days but when the weather turns for the worst, I slip on a G3 shell to keep the rain or snow off.  The smooth outer texture of the soft shell slips easily inside of other layers and feels very comfortable underneath a shell.  This is certainly one of my very favorite jackets from Simms.  -  Steve Summerhill, Co-Owner of The River's Edge
