The all new Simms HardBite™ Star Cleat Studs for use with the Simms Streamtread™ Vibram boot soles.  The Star Cleat Stud fills the void between the patented 360 degree lugs on the the Simms Vibram soles providing the ultimate traction on slick mossy rocks.  Unlike a standard stud or cleat, the Star Cleat Studs are only slightly taller than the lugs on the boot virtually eliminating the skating effect sometimes felt with taller cleats on clean rock.  The Star Cleats are made of chunks of tungsten carbide chips welded to the cleats and shaped in a three point star pattern providing more than 3 times the surface area as a standard stud.  Star Cleats Studs can be used alone for excellent traction or combined on the boot with standard studs for ultimate traction in extreme conditions.  Installation requires only a phillips head screw driver and some imagination.
